So basically what the title says! Do you prefer KotOR 1 or KotOR 2?

I'd say Kotor 1. Because it had less cut content...-_-'

KOTOR. Because the dialogue and storylines are awesome. Slightly much more better than the sequel one.

Although I hated that it had so much cut content and K1 was a fantastic game...
I have to choose K2 because of the complexity everything had, as someone else mentioned.

True enough, I liked the NPC interaction better in K2, than in K1. *shrug.*

The interaction with the crew in K2(and heck many others) is what I consider its strongest point. True it had some others, but I think that is what Obsidian got the most: Interaction. Maybe they didn't get how to tie up a plot well(although I think LA interfered and/or Obsidian planned to make K3 themselves).
But the influence system, which worked well, and everything about the crew just worked better than in K1. Although I liked K1's crew interaction too no doubt, K2 portrayed it just a tad more realistically: You have to get the crew's trust before they open up. In K1, while it was slow, the crew just would randomly open up about their pasts at whim, it could seem.

kotor 1! partly because I haven't finished kotor II yet, and partly because kotor II went GLITCHY on me! it was infuriating. I had to start ALL OVER from some point that took a while to get too.. and it wasn't that hard just like UGH! i don't want to go through this AGAIN!! and it was realy glitchy still, too. When kreia and that rock guy were supposed to fight, they just stood there like idiots and didn't do anything. I just walked around him of course. How easy?

Kotor 1 had a great story, and the Revan charrie shocker plot hit home pretty nicely. It was the perfect Star wars experience.
Kotor 2 was much darker, and added alot of new content that Kotor 1 didnt have, like Cyan and Viridian, and flapping robes, and lightsaber forms and other stuff. It didnt have the same feeling of progression that Kotor 1 had though, it was like your character is already the bomb, and theres nowhere to go from there. Plus I knew as soon as I stepped out of the Kolto tank who the boss was gonna be, Kreia, Traya, needs to stay hidden until the time is right, or everything is lost? Cmon, could they be more obvious, and could you lead up the Nihilus fight anymore and then hes as easy as pressing A.
I choose Kotor 1 for Story, but Kotor 2 for gameplay.

I pick Kotor 1 simply cause it had much more progression than 2, it was like your character is already the bomb, quote] he said it best, it was like you wer already the bomb, but yeah i cant wait for 3, its supposd to be very different
